KlioPomerana

West Pomerania is a multicultural land with an exceptionally complex historical heritage, situated in an area that for centuries served as a meeting ground between Western civilization’s expansion into Slavic territories and the Slavic world’s influence on Western and Northern Europe. This offers all history enthusiasts immensely rich opportunities to explore the past in its many cultural, political, economic, social, and religious dimensions. The KlioPomerana Project: The Digital History of West Pomerania seeks to present the widest possible spectrum of the region’s history.

The project is addressed to all enthusiasts of regional history—children, youth, and adults alike—both residents of West Pomerania and visitors to the region. It contains a compendium of the latest scholarly knowledge, educational materials, an extensive multimedia database, and expert presentations.

The project is carried out by the Polish Historical Society, with contributions from several dozen scholars. We also invite history enthusiasts who would like to enrich the project with their own discoveries.
